The Alfred Research Alliance (ARA) is a vibrant collaborative community in Melbourne, dedicated to excellence in medical research and education.  The precinct operates an Animal facility called AMREP AS Pty Ltd (AAS).

Due to AAS growth we have an exciting opportunity for candidates wishing to be trained as Animal Technicians and undertake activities that support and encompass Animal production, animal care and husbandry, laboratory and core facility operation in support of medical research.

The successful applicants will be prepared to undertake training in or presently undertaking a laboratory / animal qualification or a relevant qualification.

Must be able to demonstrate:

• Capacity to contribute positively to the day to day efficient functioning of activities
• Superior customer service skills
• Excellent computer skills (including word, excel and access database)
• Organisational and time management skills
• Initiative, adaptability, and the capacity to work autonomously
• A Strong desire to learn new skills and tasks

Remuneration will be commensurate with the successful candidate’s experience and progress with qualification.
