A biological therapeutic farming and manufacturing company is seeking a motivated hard working and reliable Animal Technician.

The Role

This is a full time position requiring participation in all technical activities associated with the production of high quality serum/plasma products. Key responsibilities include:

• Routine manufacture of serum/plasma products according to Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs);
• Participation in husbandry activities and maintenance of very high standards of animal care and welfare;
• Accurate record keeping of all activities;
• Maintenance of a high standard of hygiene and cleanliness at all times.

Reporting to the Production Coordinator, the successful applicant will possess the following:

• Good working knowledge of the handling, treatment and management of individual medium to large animals;
• Accurate record keeping and high attention to detail;
• Good communication and organisational skills;
• Ability to learn and adhere to company policies and procedures;
• Be reliable, self-motivated, physically fit, and able to work in a team environment;
• Current manual driver’s licence.
