NZeno is a New Zealand Biomedical Research Company.  We are looking for a Part-Time Animal Technician to join our team in Invercargill.  The role is based at our purpose-built Animal Facility where you will be working as part of a team responsible for the day to day care of our Designated Pathogen-free Pigs.  Key responsibilities will include cleaning, feeding and monitoring of these pigs.
Our ideal candidate will

• Have experience working with large domestic animals
• Demonstrate a high level of emotional intelligence including empathy and resilience
• Be a self-motivated team player who is enthusiastic and passionate about animal welfare
• Be able to follow oral and written instructions and also maintain records
• Have the ability to work in a fast paced environment and must have a love for working with both people and animals

This is a physically demanding role so we are looking for a positive, physically fit person who can work well under pressure.  Weekend work is a requirement of this position. A full driver’s license is necessary.  The candidate should not have any regular contact with either domestic or feral pigs.
