About the Role

This full-time position based in Corowa will be responsible for conducting research studies across multiple disciplines including nutrition, behaviour, welfare, health, reproduction and genetics.

Key Responsibilities

• Coordinate and conduct livestock research
• Undertake daily husbandry tasks including feeding, live weight assessment and monitoring of animal health and welfare
• Compliance with research protocol guidelines, animal welfare and ethics and WHS
• Accurately capture research data.

Skills & Experience

• Degree or Diploma in Agriculture, Animal Science(or related field), or experience in animal research/animal production
• Previous livestock experience
• A positive attitude with an interest in animal research, production and new technology
• Effective communication & organisational skills and desire to work in a team
• Intermediate computer skills
• A sound degree of fitness to cope with the physical nature of the work
• A preparedness to work flexible hours (including rostered weekends & public holidays)
• A current Driver's Licence.
