An exciting opportunity is available for a highly motivated individual to join Council’s Animal Management team at the Shepparton Animal Shelter. The Shepparton Animal Shelter cares for approximately 2000 lost and surrendered animals per year with a strong focus on animal welfare and finding them their forever homes.

Things You’ll Do:

• Work 7:45am to 4:30pm Monday to Friday and participate in the weekend roster when required.
• Provide exceptional care to the animals and ensure the shelter is maintained to a high standard.
• Share your knowledge of different dog and cat breeds and their behavioural traits as you match animals with their forever homes.
• Actively promote the animal shelter through various media initiatives in line with Council’s Media Policy.
• Educate the community on responsible pet ownership and provide excellent customer service to both internal and external customers.
• Perform the duties of an authorised officer in accordance with all statutory requirements.
