About the role
We are looking for someone to fill a permanent position conducting animal health studies at our Australian production animal research facility across multiple species including cattle, sheep, goats, pigs, poultry and horses.
As an Associate Study Manager, you will actively contribute to the hands-on phase of our clinical research work, with a small team of other research professionals. You will also assist with the design and reporting of studies. The Associate Study Manager also contributes to project management, understands the importance of quality assurance, and may assist with other project requirements. We will train you on study procedures, and generating and recording data, for a range of projects at different levels of quality.
This role reports to the site Research Leader and works closely with other professional and animal care staff.
You will be based at our Armidale (NSW) site, located on the picturesque University of New England campus and will require overnight travel to remote field sites on occasion. The role will ideally be permanent full-time (minimum 38 hours per week); however, we will consider applications from applicants interested in part-time work.

About you
You must have graduated with an agriculture, animal science, science, or veterinary degree. You are experienced in animal handling and ideally trained in in animal husbandry or basic laboratory techniques, and may have some practical experience in conducting animal trials. You are computer literate and will be able to operate effectively in a team environment, demonstrate good attention to detail, work well to deadlines and communicate effectively in a timely and professional manner.
