Are you experienced in working with animals and looking for a new challenge in a unique and dynamic working environment?
The position of Animal Management Officer sits within the Community Choice Portfolio of the Queanbeyan-Palerang Regional Council and is primarily responsible for assisting with the efficient operation of the Animal Management Facility, contributing to animal welfare activities and upholding community safety.
Among the key responsibilities of this position include undertaking activities associated with alleged breaches of the Companion Animals Act, conducting patrols in the local government area, impounding or seizing animals found roaming at large or posing a threat to public safety along with the opportunity to participate in community awareness activities.
This exciting position requires an individual dedicated to animal welfare who is adept in effectively handling confronting scenarios in a professional and calm manner.
