The Company

Bioproperties Pty Ltd is an animal vaccine manufacturing site located at Glenorie in Sydney’s North West. The company is significantly expanding its production capacity to continue the supply of existing and new live vaccines to the global market.

The Role

Animal Husbandry Technicians are responsible for all stages of the poultry lifecycle as well as the premises in which the birds are housed. Key responsibilities include but are not limited to:

• Handling of eggs, incubation and hatching
• Daily monitoring of chicks and birds, performing routine husbandry tasks
• Cleaning, decontamination and maintenance of bird houses and associated equipment
• Detailed record-keeping

Skills & Requirements

• Ability to work in a fast paced and challenging work environment whilst upholding a high standard of animal welfare and care
• Poultry experience would be an advantage but not a necessity as all training will be provided
• Good verbal and written communication skills
• Attention to detail
• Ability to cope with the physical demands of the role
• Willingness to work some weekends and public holidays as required
• Own transport, as public transport in the area is limited
