Description
JBS Australia’s Riverina Beef Feedlot is a 53,333 capacity feedlot situated between the popular townships of Leeton and Narrandera in Southern NSW. A rare opportunity exists for a highly motivated, experienced self-starter to join the dedicated and enthusiastic livestock team in this leadership role.
Responsibilities Include (but are not limited to):
- Coordination of the Animal Health team in conjunction with the Livestock Supervisor
- Overseeing daily supervision of livestock handling, including pen riding, livestock acclimation, hospital treatments & post-mortems
- Administration & accurate record keeping of animal health treatments in line with JBS treatment protocols
- Inventory management as required including calibration, auditing & stocktaking
- Team engagement, development and training in a positive and proactive manner
- Ensuring team compliance with JBS Australia policies, including but not limited to: WHS, HR, QA, Animal Welfare & Environmental obligations
About You:
- Previous Livestock handling and/or Feedlot experience
- Strong commitment to Animal Welfare, Health and Nutrition
- Previous experience managing and coordinating Animal Health and the associated performance of these teams
- Strong written and excellent verbal communication skills, high levels of self-motivation, strong planning capabilities and initiative
- Demonstrated Leadership skills and experience
