Certificate III in Animal Care Services Course Trainer
Position Overview:
We are seeking enthusiastic and experienced Certificate III in Animal Care Services course trainers dedicated to providing comprehensive animal care services training for students. This position requires a strong background in animal science, teaching skills, and a genuine concern for student development. The role involves curriculum design, implementation, and student guidance to ensure they receive quality education in Certificate III in Animal Care Services.
Responsibilities:
1. Curriculum Development and Design:
- Follow and improve the current curriculum of Certificate III in Animal Care Services course covering topics such as Animal Behaviour, health, nutrition, and related subjects.
- Keep course content up-to-date and innovative by incorporating the latest industry trends and research findings.
- Design the short-term Animal Care Services workshop course.
2. Teaching Implementation:
- Deliver high-quality online and classroom instruction to inspire student interest in Animal Care Service.
- Utilise multimedia resources and real-life cases to enhance students' understanding of course content.
3. Student Guidance:
- Establish positive teacher-student relationships and provide personalised academic and career guidance.
- Supervise student internships, ensuring the application of theoretical knowledge in real-world environments.
4. Assessment and Feedback:
- Regularly assess students' academic performance and provide targeted feedback and suggestions.
- Participate in course evaluations and improvements to ensure continuous enhancement of course quality.
5. Professional Development:
- Continuously update knowledge in the field, staying informed about the latest trends and developments in the animal care industry.
- Actively participate in industry seminars, conferences, and training to exchange experiences and best practices with peers.
Qualifications:
1. Education and Experience:
- Qualifications in Animal Care Services, Animal Science, Veterinary Science, or a related field.
- At least one year of teaching or practical experience in Animal Care Services.
- A relevant TAE qualification
2. Knowledge and Skills:
- Profound knowledge of Animal Care Services, including animal behaviour, nutrition, and health.
- Excellent teaching and communication skills to inspire student learning.
3. Compassion and Responsibility:
- Demonstrated care and responsibility for student development, willing to invest time in building positive teacher-student relationships.
4. Team Collaboration:
- Strong team collaboration skills to work with other teachers and staff in advancing the development of the Animal Care Services course.
