RSPCA ACT - Casual Animal Care Assistant
RSPCA ACT is looking for energetic & motivated people to join our team of animal care assistants on a casual basis. We are looking for someone with extraordinary customer service experience, basic knowledge of animal care and handling, and a genuine interest in animals and their welfare. You will be required to be flexible as you will be called upon to work in the Pet Adoption Centre and retail shop; but also, the cattery, kennels, vet clinic, and with other domestic animals or wildlife at times. If you enjoy variety and have a passion for animal welfare then this may be the position for you.

- Computer and administration skills
- Ability to work under pressure
- Honesty, reliability, and willingness to take instruction.
- Physical and mental fitness is imperative! Working with animals is hard physical work and can be mentally demanding.
This is a base-level position. Salary and conditions of employment are in line with the Animal Care and Veterinary Services Award 2010 Level 1.
