Animal Attendant
Cefn Pty Ltd is the largest family-owned pig producer in Australia which supplies high quality pork products to premium markets.
Based in the Darling Downs region of Southeast Queensland, our business has grown to an operation consisting of over 8,000 sows and progeny situated across five sites in the Clifton, Leyburn and Yelarbon area.
We are a totally integrated business and utilize some of the most up to date technology and building design to provide optimal conditions for producing market leading animals. The agricultural team is made up of our teams of field staff, technical and support staff. We all work together to ensure that our supply chain from beginning to end operates within the highest standards of welfare, quality and efficiency.
Your role
We are seeking to employ Animal Attendants. Main responsibilities will be completing animal husbandry tasks, ensuring animal hygiene and environments are maintained. Experience in a similar field is preferred but is not essential as CEFN provides the training required to be successful in this role. Performing well in this role can lead to further training and other opportunities within the company for those who wish to further themselves.
Applicants must be reliable, responsible and have a desire to learn. With a focus on completing tasks correctly and in a timely manner.
You can expect an annual wage between $60,000 - $65,000 by the end of probation. This includes regular overtime and an 11-day fortnightly roster. Our farms are situated within 30 minutes of Clifton and 50 minutes of Toowoomba on the Darling Downs.
