PGG Wrightson Seeds have a casual opportunity available for an Agronomy Technician to join their team in Ruakura, Hamilton.

The Agronomy Technician will be responsible for assisting the forage research team including planning, implementation and data collection of forage evaluation and breeding trials throughout the Waikato region.  This is primarily a field role, including general farm operations but will also involve some office-based data input and analysis. .

Desirable attributes sought:

• Tertiary qualified in an agricultural related discipline or recent and relevant experience in a similar role
• Sound knowledge of, and a genuine interest in Plants, Agriculture and Farming
• A commitment to working in a Research and Development field
• An understanding of farm systems in New Zealand and how our products can add value
• Attention to detail, ability to create and interpret data
