Job Description

The Adjunct Instructor may be assigned to prepare and deliver lecture(s), facilitate labs, and/or support clinical education.

Required Qualifications

. DVM/VMD or equivalent degree in good professional standing and clinical experience . Educational preparation in accordance with requirements of the University and the Southern Association of Colleges and Schools . Evidence of potential for effective teaching and scholarly activity . Ability to successfully interact with students, other educators and educational institution representatives, and the general public in a professional manner.

Preferred Qualifications

. Advanced degree in a specific area of expertise and/or specialty board certification. . Experience in an academic setting.

Job Duties

  • promote the mission of Lincoln Memorial University to all faculty, staff, students, and to the community at large
  • promote effective working relationships among faculty, staff, and students
  • maintain proper security for all University files and information and follow privacy procedures at all times
  • maintain records and procedures for duties and responsibilities of position
  • complete required institutional, program accreditation, and other reports necessary for the advancement of University programs, both on campus and at extended campus sites
  • contribute to the attainment of the mission of the University, School/College and the Department
  • Utilize a learning management system, specifically Blackboard
  • Involve students in research or professional experience as appropriate
  • Instruct, manage, motivate and evaluate students
  • Participate in preparation for the specific course as instructed by the course coordinator.
  • perform other duties as assigned.
