Position Snapshot

A rare opportunity currently exists for a high performing sales professional to grow our successful PetCare business within the Veterinary channel. As a Purina Veterinary Consultant, you will drive distribution and sales within independent and corporately owned veterinary Practices across Melbourne Metro and surrounds.

Maximising sales results, you’ll ensure our products are always available and continually seek opportunities to maximise our presence with existing and new customers in the Veterinary channel. Position Summary

  • Managing a portfolio of veterinary clinics in Melbourne metro and surrounds.
  • Launching new products and range extensions.
  • Executing effective Field Sales Cycle Plans for your territory, inclusive of customer engagement at the appropriate level.
  • Developing an understanding of each individual business within your portfolio and being an effective business partner who adds value to every call.
  • Maintaining an in-depth technical knowledge of products, delivering effective product training and providing accurate and timely technical advice to staff within veterinary clinics.
  • Identifying and securing new accounts with veterinary clinics, implementing channel / account strategies and monthly work plans.
  • Ensuring the achievement of agreed targets for your clients (including call coverage, training & education, product support, budgets, pre-sell / compliance, new lines and range extensions).

About You

Stepping into a specialised and competitive channel, this is not your average field sales role. We’re looking for a self-motivated, results driven and commercially savvy sales person to build and sustain partnerships and advocacy within the Veterinary channel.

You’ll be a high performing sales person with a demonstrated history of success in face to face sales. In addition to strong communication and relationship building skills, you will have the professionalism to build credibility with within Veterinary clinics. Adequately servicing your territory, you will be comfortable spending time on the road. A business (or similar) degree and experience in a veterinary or pharmaceutical sales role is preferred.
