Our Veterinary team use their scientific background to provide technical expertise and education to our customers, sales and marketing teams. With a deep knowledge of pharmacology and animal health we engage in scientific exchange with external experts and industry leaders ensuring the scientific value of our animal health portfolio is understood.
Reporting to the Technical Services Lead for ANZ and sitting within the Companion Animals Business Unit, you will bring your technical knowledge & effective communication skills to provide first class technical support on our products to our external and internal customers through phone calls, visits and attendance at meetings/conferences/seminars.
WHAT YOU WILL DO
- Provide technical advice to veterinarians, veterinary and pet store staff or consumers on company products.
- Keep informed of technical developments in veterinary medicine and companion/equine animal products and of competitor products.
- Provide sound technical and practical input to the development, implementation and support of marketing plans.
- Accompany the sales team on visits to veterinary clinics, pet shops and wholesalers as needed.
- Provide technical input to Research & Development.
- Provide training to customers on company product, as well as formal training programs for the sales and customer service teams.
- Develop and maintain relationship with key opinion leaders (KOL’s) and key influencers such as specialists, vet schools, key accounts etc.
- Maintain all documentation in accordance with Company and relevant quality standards.
- Ensure pharmacovigilance (PV) reporting process and timeline requirements are fulfilled. Keep updated on PV training to ensure familiarity with requirements.
WHAT YOU MUST HAVE
You may be an experienced Veterinarian who is looking to step into industry and utilise your skills and experience in a different capacity. Alternatively, you may be working in a similar position in industry and looking to align yourself with an innovative pharmaceutical company who is focused on investing in Research & Development (R&D) and maintaining a healthy product pipeline.
To be successful in this role, you will have:
- A Veterinary degree and registration in Australia.
- Knowledge of Companion Animal medicine.
- Experience in a similar role in Animal Health industry is preferred.
- Experience as a small animal Veterinarian with commercial acumen will be considered.
- Well-developed skills in establishing, influencing and maintaining business relationships.
- Excellent written and oral communication skills including confidence to deliver presentations and training.
- Strong ability in numerical analysis, technical and verbal data, with a sound and logical approach to problem solving.
- Self-starter with initiative who works well with minimal supervision.
- Ability to work under pressure to meet deadlines and to make decisions on a day to day basis concerning routine activities.
- Ability to work within a team environment.
